DRAFT Minutes of the meeting of Coleraine Probus Club Held in Portstewart Golf Club on Tuesday 22nd October 2013
Club Vice President Gordon Ward welcomed club members and explained that he was standing in for our President as he was unable to attend this weeks meeting. Gordon then introduced our speaker for the morning Mr. Peter Jack, our local triathlon competitor, mountain climber and 'Iron Man' champion, who was making a very welcome return to the club. This time Peter was giving a talk on his recent visit to Borneo. A brief summary of this talk is available in the Speakers Record Book, and on the club web site, for members interest. A vote of thanks was proposed by Aubrey McElhinney and was passed on by the Vice President. The members showed their appreciation.

Minutes of the meeting of Coleraine Probus Club Club President Graham Kane welcomed club members and then introduced our speaker for the morning and brother of member Jim, Mr. David Archer, who was making a most welcome return to the club to talk about Africa and part of its history. Minutes of the meeting of Coleraine Probus Club Club President Graham Kane welcomed club members and announced that he had just learnt the Honorary Member Jack Donaldson had passed away on Sunday, 6th October. The members observed a minute's silence.
The President then formally welcomed our two newest members to the club, and presented Eric Fulton and Paddy Fitzpatrick with their club badges and documents. The President then introduced our speaker for the morning, Mr. Fred Williams, who gave an informative talk, with an exciting video presentation about the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). A vote of thanks was proposed by Joe Alcorn and was passed on by the President. The members showed their appreciation.

Minutes of the meeting of Coleraine Probus Club Club President Graham Kane welcomed club members and echoed all our thoughts when he said how pleased he was to see Don Bell able to return to Probus, as well Ronnie Gray too. The President then introduced our speaker for the morning, Mr. Robert Alcorn, who gave an extremely interesting and informative talk on the work of a Resident Magistrate.
