Minutes of the meeting of Coleraine Probus Club
Held in Portstewart Golf Club on Tuesday 10th September 2013

Attendance: 39 members were present.

Apologies: Sam Boyd, Jim Gordon, Ronnie Gray, Hamilton Houston, Aubrey McElhinney, Tony Smyth and Gordon Ward (6)

Club President Graham Kane welcomed club members and new member James Dinsmore to the meeting, a formal presentation of club badge etc. will be held at next meeting. The President then introduced our speaker for the morning, Mr Jack McCann, who is a member of the UK Youth Parliament. A summary of this talk, is available in the Speakers Record Book, and on the club web site for members interest. A vote of thanks was proposed by Cecil Leitch and was passed on by the President. The members showed their appreciation.

Minutes: The minutes of the meeting on 3rd September 2013 were taken as read. The Secretary thanked Bob McIvor for his great help standing in at the previous meeting.

Matters arising: None not covered by the agenda

Correspondence: None

Rally 2014: The President reminded rally committee members that there would be meeting at 9.00am on 17th September in the golf club 'Dalzell Room', before then next club meeting - Mary Sinnamon is hoping to attend.

Social: Jim Foote had the menu choices for members wishing to attend the club lunch on 24th September.

Welfare: Cecil Spotten said that there was little to add to the report from last week, and will keep members up to date whenever possible.

Treasurer: Nigel Semple said that the accounts were in order and had nothing to report.

A O B: New Member: Jim Archer gave notice that he would be proposing Paddy Kirkpatrick for club membership at the next meeting.

Next Meeting: Would be on 17th September, when the guest speaker would be Mr Derek Ewing MBE, who is a professional Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies.
